digital camera zoom, slr cameraI was up in Seattle for a few days this past week. While visiting a friend, he pulled out a SLR camera he had bought for snapping photos. It was the first time I had seen it but he had it for about a year now. The week before was SeaFair in Seattle. For those who don’t know it is annual festival on lake Washington where boaters come out in droves, the Blue Angels fly high over head in perfect formation and hydro planes roar over the lake. Unless you have a boat, it can be hard to get close to the action. That is unless your SLR camera has a solid digital camera zoom as my friend’s camera does. He was going through some of the Sea Fair pictures and I was blown away by how close some of the pictures looked of the hydroplanes and Blue Angels flying in a V pattern.

There were a couple shots he laughed at as I looked over his shoulder onto the laptop screen of bikini girls dancing on random boats and drunk people cheering on the lakeside festivities. With a smile, he said some of the best action was in the crowd of boats. From the looks of it, he was right. A digital camera zoom never looked so good.
