There are so many different things that I am finding uses for my newer SLR camera. I have recently gotten back into skateboarding and, much like my friends and I would do during our youth, we are now embarking upon the quest to shoot skate videos and take still photos using my SLR camera. The digital camera zoom really comes in handy for getting those extreme, up close shots of a flawless execution of a tough trick to pull off. The video feature on my SLR camera allows for me to shoot several minutes of live video at one time. This way we can shoot a run and if it works, then we keep it. Otherwise we erase it and film it again. I also had forgotten how much work goes into making a great skateboarding video. We have been hitting up all of the skate parks lately, trying to get the best shots and footage so that we can later edit it and compile it all together as one to share with our family and friends. Without the digital technology of today, this would never be possible!
