It might go without saying, but the camcorder battery is the most important of all your camera accessories. You simply can't take any video without it. I've had my camcorder for about a year and love it. It takes great video and is easy to upload to my laptop. I've taken video from several different events and gatherings and have never had a problem. Well, the one time that I forgot to push the record button for my daughter's swim meet was a slight problem, but everyone has agreed not to talk about that anymore.

My sons graduation day was a pretty emotional day. There was a lot of family visiting for it and there was also the BBQ after that I was trying to get ready for. I put the camcorder batter in the charger and went along with getting ready for the various activities planned. Before we left, I grabbed the camcorder battery out of the charger, put it in the camcorder and ran out the door. When the graduation started, I went to turn on the camcorder and nothing happened. It wouldn't turn on! When I got home I went to the battery charger and couldn't figure out why the
camcorder battery was still dead. Until, of course, I checked the plug in. Camcorder battery chargers do not work very well when they are not plugged in.
