camcorder batteryHaving an extended battery for any electronics is a good idea. Stock batteries normally run out quick or at least quicker then we’d like them too. When I ordered my laptop online years back one of the upgrades I could not live without was upgrading the battery. The additional cost was worth its weight in gold. There is nothing worse then being a slave to electrical outlets. I have also heard if batteries continually get used all the way down to empty before being recharged the life of the battery will slowly diminish. I have noticed this in the case of my laptop. It may have a wide, extended battery but there have been many times I have used it all the way until low charge warning indicator shoots up. At full charge the time before empty has dropped a bit.

I’m sure a camcorder battery works the same way. After all, like laptops, a camcorder battery is lithium ion. When it comes to a battery, wider is better. There are no slimmed down extended camcorder batteries out there. It easy to spot the seriousness of a camcorder battery by its size. Bigger is better.
