Have you taken notice – all of you camcorder toting, video footage loving people – at how amazing the length of time that the camcorder battery in your device now lasts for? I have always wondered when the time would finally arrive that I wouldn’t see that dreaded blinking red camcorder battery light of death in the lens when I was only using my camcorder for a few minutes here and there, sparingly throughout the day. That day, my friends, has finally arrived. The newest technology that I have been reading about, with regards to the often used camcorder battery, is called lithium ion advanced. Basically, the makers of the camcorder battery have begun to figure out how to make these batteries last nearly ten times longer than they used to. And does anybody remember the so-called ‘smart’ camcorder battery that you had to fully charge and dispense so it could learn? Well those are long gone now as well. What we have now are amazing batteries that last hours on end, and thank goodness, I was sick of running out of juice!
