digital camera zoom, camera bagThere is going to be an antique car show in the neighborhood I live this Friday. Amongst the many young people living in the apartments, town homes and condos scattering the area there is a large demographic of older people in the nearby neighborhoods; older people who love classic cars. Hardly a day goes by walking down the street where I don’t see a rat rod, 1950’s beauty or piece of American muscle. The car show is part fun and part to raise money for local charities. It’s free to walk around with all the donations coming from raffle tickets.

Car events are my favorite time to bring the camera bag out, make sure the camcorder battery is charged and save memories of autos from yesteryear. It is amazing how many contemporary cars pull lines off what old classics used to look like. Everything is recycled, I guess. My digital camera zoom works best in these types of situations. When a car is just sitting there looking pretty it is easy to take a great picture. I’m sure a lot of the cars I see driving around will be polished and pristine for this show.
